Hello and welcome! ........
My name is Andrea Gibb. I am a qualified Canine Behaviourist (AdvDipCBM) living in Lindley, Huddersfield. I started this business to help take the stress and worry out of pet ownership.
Having always had my own pets and a full-time job, I know how hard it can be to juggle home life with with work and social commitments, and how difficult it is to leave your pet when you want to go on holiday. Finding someone who you can depend on, who will know what to do in an emergency, can also be a bit of a struggle.
At the end of 2009 I left a career of 20 years as a senior manager in Banking to pursue a lifelong ambition to work with animals. Since then, I’ve worked in a very busy small animal hospital and part of that time was dedicated to nursing emergency cases. This work enabled me to qualify as an Animal Nursing Assistant in 2011 and gave me the knowledge and experience required to care for a wide range of pets.
Having first achieved an HNC in Canine Studies, I have recently attained a distinction in the level 5 Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management. The AdvDipCBM is a recognised programme under the regulatory body The Animal Behaviour & Training Council, who set the standards of knowledge and practical skills needed to be a technician in animal behaviour. I am now studying for a level 6 qualification in Animal Behaviour Management with the aim of becoming a Clinical Animal Behaviourist.
This has enabled me to expand my business further by offering behavioural consultations and training guidance for dogs and puppies. My own dog, Charlie, has proven to be excellent for the socialisation of young or nervous dogs, due to his tolerant and friendly nature.
Please contact me by phone, email or text if you have any questions.
